This place has the best acarajé da Bahia in Maceió. Don’t even go looking for it anymore. If you want an authentic acarajé baiano, this is the place. The drinks are also authentic and well made. My fish was delicious and my niece’s octopus risotto was excellent. Our server, Carlos, was sweet and very attentive to our order making sure we were well served and taken care of. The other staff were also friendly and helpful with our table and when assisting Carlos. This restaurante atmosphere is refreshing, relaxed, and extremely welcoming. I felt like walking into a family’s house nice backyard. It’s spacious and comfortable with large seating areas. I went there during lunch on a Thursday with my niece and we had a great experience. I’d highly recommend Akuaba for all visitors and locals.

I have to say. This has excellent food and staff. Where to begin, the shrimps, perfectly smoked and full off flavor. The octopus stew, sweet and sour. The octopus was soft. Then the Mousse, you can tell it was homemade and very rich dark chocolate flavor. I highly recommend this place.

OmG, what a find! Seriously, 4.6 is too low! Everything is tops. The atmosphere, character, food, and all aspects were so exceptional. We loved Akuaba's true welcome. No surprise Akuaba is welcome in Marceio for 30 years going! Well done, Akuaba! We are returning

Really cool concept of authentic cuisine and showing the roots of the Alagoas cousine. Also this place has really interesting history (starting only as a simple acarajé stall). Shrimp muceca and and acarajé was top, octopus also good but for me bit salty (which I can not complain because in Brasil is everything more salty for me :D). Really nice staff with nice and calm ambient, make this place great to chill out and talk. Moreover I would recommend to everybody who wants to try really authentic and local food.

The food here is awesome!!!!!!!!! They have several types of Muqueca and bobó…. And much more. The service is quick, as an American, you won't die here from a heart attack for the Brazilian service rhythm, LOL. They are fast and friendly. If you are in Maceio plan to come here. You won’t regret it. There is a line to get in usually about 20-30 min…
